Is PictureToLink free?

Yes. Uploading, compressing and sharing are free and need no account. The site is supported by ads on our articles and tool pages — never on your images.

Who can see my image?

Anyone who has the link. Images are not listed publicly or searchable on our site, and share pages are hidden from search engines, but treat every link as public and don’t upload anything private.

How long are images kept?

By default an image stays online while people keep viewing it and is removed after 12 months without any views. You can also choose to delete it automatically after 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days, or delete it yourself at any time with your delete link.

Which formats can I upload?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (including animated GIFs) and AVIF, up to 25 MB each. iPhone HEIC photos are not accepted yet: choose the photo from the Photos picker (which usually converts it to JPG) or set Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.

Why not just share a Google Drive or Dropbox link?

Those links open a viewer page and often ask people to sign in. A PictureToLink direct link points at the image file itself, so it shows the picture in chats, forums, emails and website code.

Do you change my picture?

We compress it, apply the correct rotation and remove hidden metadata such as GPS location. You can pick “High quality” for minimal compression or resize it to a smaller size before sharing.
